YOUR BODY KNOWS STRESS
Stress isn't only something we think about.
It has a physical expression.
The tightening of the jaw.
The shoulders that never quite drop.
The breath that stays high in the chest.
The feeling of always being “on.”
Restlessness when things finally become quiet.
Difficulty settling into sleep.
It can feel like always being “on,” even when there is nothing left to respond to.
Sometimes we notice it when things finally become quiet, when the workday is over, the call has ended, everyone else has been cared for, and yet the body hasn't quite gotten the message that it can settle.
The nervous system responds to what we experience, and those responses are designed to protect us.
TRE® offers a way to work with that physical experience of stress through the body, using simple movements and the body's natural tremoring response.
You don't need to force relaxation.
You don't need to make anything happen.
You begin by noticing, allowing, and learning to listen to what your body is communicating.
>> Yes! I Want To Experience TRETHE PRACTICE IS SOMATIC
TRE® is not psychotherapy.
It is not meditation.
It is not a workout.
And it isn't about forcing the body to release something.
It is a somatic practice that gives you an opportunity to notice sensation, movement, activation, settling, boundaries and choice from inside your own experience.
A central part of TRE® is learning to recognize your body's signals and adjust the intensity of the practice for yourself.
More is not necessarily better.
The practice is learning how to stay connected to yourself while your body moves through different levels of sensation and activation. That ability to notice is part of the practice itself.
This is enough.
I can slow this down.
I want a little more.
I need to pause.
I'm ready to stop.
I want to sign up, take me there.
What is TRE?
TRE® stands for Tension & Trauma Releasing Exercises.
Developed by Dr. David Berceli, TRE® begins with a series of seven basic movements designed to invite the body's natural tremoring response, sometimes referred to as neurogenic tremoring.
You already know this response.
You may have experienced tremoring after a frightening event, during an emotionally intense moment, or muscles quivering after physical exertion.
TRE® intentionally creates the conditions for this natural response to emerge in a slow, controlled and self-directed way.
We begin with seven accessible movements that engage and gently fatigue muscles in the legs and lower body. From there, we move to the floor and invite the body's natural tremoring response.
The experience can range from subtle vibrations to larger movements. There is no “right” way for your body to tremor. And importantly, you remain in control of the practice.
You learn how to increase, decrease, pause, or stop the tremoring at any time.
Over time, TRE® can become a practice you know how to use independently, a tool for working with stress and tension rather than simply carrying it.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO TELL THE STORY
TRE® does not ask you to describe a difficult situation. You don't have to identify anything as “trauma” at all.
We work with what is happening now, in the body.
For people who spend their lives thinking, assessing, responding, documenting, problem-solving, and taking care of everyone else, that can feel remarkably different.
TRE® FROM HOME
TRE® translates beautifully to a virtual setting.
You join from a private space where you can comfortably move and lie on the floor. I guide you through the movements, help you recognize your body's tremoring response, and teach you how to regulate the intensity of the experience.
You don't need special equipment or previous experience with yoga, mindfulness, breathwork or somatic practices.
Virtual sessions also mean you can practice from your own environment, anywhere you have privacy and an internet connection. During the TRE® practice, your camera will need to remain on so I can observe your movements, help pace the experience, and offer individualized guidance when needed.

What do others think?
Kellie, US Marine
TRE has been a meaningful part of my healing journey because it allows my body to release stored tension and trauma as physical energy, without requiring me to revisit or relive the memories. I’ve experienced a greater sense of grounding and freedom through this practice, while building the capacity to stay present with discomfort and allow my body to complete what it naturally knows how to release.

Meet Angie
I am a Certified TRE® Provider, Certified MBSR Teacher through Brown University, yoga + qigong teacher, somatic and functional breathwork facilitator, educator, leader, sister, wife, daughter, friend, dog-mom, and alchemist.
My work lives at the intersection of science, embodiment, and the beautifully complex experience of being human.
I have spent much of my professional life alongside people who spend their lives caring for, protecting, teaching, and showing up for others. Since 2020, I have offered TRE® in schools and community settings, and with first responders, veterans, people in recovery, healthcare professionals, educators, caregivers, and people simply looking for a different way to relate to stress and their bodies.
I am especially drawn to working with people who have learned to keep going, even when their bodies are asking for something different.
My approach to TRE® is slow, curious, heartful, and choice-centered. Rather than asking your body to perform or pushing toward a particular release, I create space for you to listen inward, explore sensation, and become familiar with your body's own rhythms and responses.
TRE® offers us an opportunity to practice something beautifully simple: less doing, more listening. To trust the intelligence of the body and rediscover our capacity to move, regulate, soften, and return to ourselves.
